Job Introduction

Business Graduate Programme

Salary: From £36,000 per annum plus benefits

Location: Manchester & Essex

About:

Are you looking to jump straight into a role where you will make an immediate impact in a global organisation? We have a track record of supporting tomorrow’s leaders as they set out on their career pathways.  We understand how important the first steps in your career are, and together, we’ll help and support you to prepare for your future.

As a Business graduate, you will participate in an initial six-month placement within our Manchester Business Centre, followed by two substantive placements of 12 months within core business departments. Our graduate scheme seeks to provide you with exposure to a number of roles and departments rather than specialising in just one area. For curious and driven graduates it is an opportunity to gain a variety of experiences, meet people across the organisation, learn new ways of working and drive our business forward.

Initial Placement

Your initial placement will be in our Manchester Business Centre and will last for six months, during which time you will rotate through at least two roles in retail operations. This will give you the chance to learn about your own real-world potential and help shape your future career decisions.

Within these roles, you will be learning about the business from the ground up and will be providing first line telephone support to customer enquiries, day-to-day management of Ford Credit Finance Facilities or assessing the credit worthiness of retail and small business customers. You will be assigned a graduate buddy to guide your transition into our organisation and your initial placement will provide you with an in-depth insight to our base business, equipping you with knowledge and understanding to support your future growth.

Further Placement Opportunities

After your first placement, you will undertake two further graduate placements, supplemented by ongoing training opportunities. All our graduate placements are designed to provide you with broad experience of the Ford Credit business to support your development in becoming a future leader. You could be working in areas such as marketing, sales, product development, digital experience, risk management or operations, based in Essex or Manchester. Your placements are decided by business leaders on our Graduate Committee; taking into consideration your personal preferences and future potential where possible. Some placements will offer the opportunity to utilise your language skills where applicable.

You will be assigned a business leader to support your development  when you join the scheme. Our trusted mentors and experienced team come from a diverse set of backgrounds and are on hand to answer your questions, listen to your concerns, and help you feel comfortable in your new environment. You could make friends for life as you get to know the rest of our graduates at company social events and volunteering days, where you choose a charity you would like to support.

To be part of our future, you will need:

Essential

  • A minimum 2:1 degree (or international equivalent)
  • English language fluency
  • Knowledge of and passion for our business
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team working ethos
  • Excellent communication skills
